At Essence,  we help you unwind and step away from the stresses of daily life.  Larry will consult with you and develop an intentional theraupitic session to first address and release areas of concern with the muscles, then relax the muscles and body for an amazing feeling.

PRENATAL MASSAGE

 Your therapist will use gentle techniques, such as the Swedish massage, to relieve tension and discomfort during pregnancy.  The therapist will avoid deep pressure and instead use light, firm, and sweeping strokes to improve circulation, reduce swelling, alleviate muscle pain, and promote relaxation.  The therapist is well skilled at making your prenatal massage  an absolutely amazing experience.

STRETCHING

 Essence now offers stretching as part of our services.   Stretching enhances flexibility, improves joint range of motion, and promotes muscle health. By consistently lengthening muscles through regular, moderate stretching routines, individuals can reduce muscle tension, alleviate aches and pains, and improve posture.

A gluteal massage is when the massage therapist works on the buttocks to help with muscle tension. We carry a lot of tension in our buttock area from sitting, bad posture among other different reasons. This is one of the main causes of lower back issues, stiffness of the hips and movement mobility. 

You may undress to your comfort level, as your feeling comfortable is my main priority. I am very good at draping/ covering you to maintain your privacy.

In some cases, yes they can, and it’s completely normal. Touch administered to any part of the body can activate the parasympathetic nervous system, which can result in  arousal. It is nothing to be embarrassed about. A truly professional massage therapist knows this and is not shocked by what the body does during a massage. In other words, a true professional massage therapist will make sure that no matter what your body does as a result of your massage there is no judgement and that you are in a safe place. Just to add, some massages will cause the body to pass gas while on the table. Again, nothing to be embarrassed about.
